Why Encounter?

In today’s world there is so much pressure on high school students to achieve, be busy, fit in, succeed, etc. In high school, the idea of having a personal connection with Jesus is thought of as irrelevant or unimportant. Counter to culture, Encounter is a community of students and staff who are dedicated to the truth that God has a deep love for humanity, and because of that love, He is inviting us to a better way of living.


Our focus is to move students toward passionately and productively following Christ. Encounter is a place for High School students to encounter Jesus, to connect with others, to have fun, to be authentic, to be broken, to grow and to become the man or woman God intends.
